Global Classroom Collaboration

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Hello,

I am the Computer Education Teacher at Kennett High School in North Conway, NH, USA. Currently I’m assisting teachers with integrating the use of technology at Kennett.

There are a couple of teachers here are looking for global classroom partners with whom they can collaborate. I was wondering if you might know a teacher who is interested in collaborating or have a suggestion how we could get started.

The classes are:

Spanish Language
Spanish IV students are to do reports on an icon of Spain. Our thought was
for them to do a video or pod cast and share it with an English language student in Spain and exchange the favor.

English Language
The writing teacher would like to have her students communicate and
collaborate about, how they live their lives and write about each other, and
what they learn from the whole experience.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank You,

Dan Mac Leon

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

I am attaching what presentation material I could find.

Hopefully, you will find them helpful. Some are in the Jeopardy format.

Please note, there is a Final Exam for Chapter 1-10. I can only activate it for a two hour period at a time. I will start activating it this each night this week at 6pm. Let me know if you need the final activated at a different time.

Thank you,

Dan

Chapter 3 & 4

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

By this point you should be getting the hang of how this works, but just in case here is a review.

Read the chapter in the Text book and support material on the CD in the back of the book.

I will post any support material or special notes here.

Chapter 3 PowerPoint

Chapter 4 & 5 Jeopardy PowerPoint Review - Note: there is no Cisco assessment for chapter 4

http://cisco.netacad.net/cnams/downloadDocument?documentID=3016298&userID=5757465

Unfortunatly, the only material on chapter 4 is combined with chapter 5. If you are caught up through chapter 3 and ready for our Oct 28th meeting then go ahead and review chapter 4 and/or chapter 5.

After you have reviewed the material posted here go and take the online assessment on the Cisco Academy site. Here is the log in page:

Should you have any questions you can post them here so everyone can read the question and answer. Or you can email me at d_macleon@sau9.org I check my mail everyday.

Thank you,

Dan
